Dennis Maurice Greenwell, 62, died at his home here in Greensboro, on Thursday, January 27, 2011. Mr. Greenwell was born in Jefferson County, KY to Maurice Edwin and Eursel Doroetha 'Dottie' Hurst Greenwell. He has one child, Carol Renee and her husband, Tony Thompson . Mr. Greenwell's Memorial Service will be Monday, January 31, 2011 at 7:30 pm at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home. Rev. Lloyd Smith will be officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mr. Greenwell was a loving father and was a member at Andrews Memorial Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Rick Greenwell and a sister-in-law, Mona Greenwell. He is survived by his daughter Carol Renee and husband, Tony Thompson; his mother, Dottie Greenwell; a sister Jan and husband, Terry Bradley; 2 nieces, Angie Mayes, Erin Greenwell and a nephew, Adam Greenwell. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004.
