Dennis Robert Johnson

Dennis Robert Johnson, age 75, passed away on the morning of Sunday, February 10, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his children, Rhonda M. Reeder and husband Michael Reeder, Brian Johnson and his wife Daveena Johnson. Dennis had 3 grandchildren, Kylie Johnson, Jayci Johnson, and Landon Johnson. He also had 5 great grandchildren; as well as numerous loving friends and family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Cheryl Ann Johnson (2005). Dennis was born in Dearborn, Michigan in 1943 to Robert and Jesse Johnson. Dennis married his loving wife in Idaho Falls, ID in 1965. Dennis was a veteran of the United States Navy and served his country for 10 years. During those 10 years he rose to the Rank of ET1 (E-6) in the Nuclear Power field. It was in Nuclear Power school in Idaho Falls where he met the love of his life Cheryl. Dennis was a lifelong Detroit Lions fan. Let's just say having this love being a part of his life was very draining. Year after year he was disappointed with the outcome of each season. His hope that during his lifetime the Lions would win just 1 damn Superbowl. Dennis was an avid fisherman. He loved walking the Snake River in Idaho trying to catch that "Big One". Dennis and Cheryl loved to RV together with their dogs and family. This love of the outdoors was a big part of his life, even in his later years. He worked at an RV park in Vallecito, CO. He absolutely love helping people. One thing I will remember about Dennis was how smart he was. He knew everything about anything. Math, Science, the stars. Absolutely everything.
