Born December 23, 1947, Dennis passed away peacefully on May 6, 2024, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was the son of Gerald and Hellen Kippen, brother to Diane Zweifach, uncle to Alicia Zweifach and Aaron Zweifach, Brother to Debbie “Kippen” Westphal and Uncle to Emily Westphal. Born in Kalamazoo Michigan, Dennis grew up and lived most of his life in Washington except for a short stint in Sun Valley, ID. Growing up in their family home in Shoreline, Dennis was a natural athlete loving to play baseball, football, golf, skiing, and racquetball. Dennis took his abilities in football to Seattle Preparatory School where they went undefeated as well as winning the State Championship. He then went on to play football at the University of Washington. Dennis always loved his Huskies as well as his “brothers” from Delta Tau Delta that he held close for over five decades. After college Dennis started his lifelong career at Sellen Construction, following in his father’s footsteps. At Sellen he achieved title of vice president. Dennis was a strong, spiritual, loyal, and loving human being that will be greatly missed.
