Mr. Dennis "Mac" McAdam, 71, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday, October 3, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. A graveside service honoring the life of Mr. Dennis will be held at Parkway Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Robins Museum of Aviation. Mac was born June 5, 1952 to the late Mr. Walter and Mrs. Audrey McAdam. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Sheryl Cooper; and brothers; Walter McAdam and Edward "Eddie" McAdam, and Sister-in-law Linda McAdam. Mac devoted his life to serving his country. He was enlisted into the United States Air Force where he worked on C141's as an aircraft mechanic. Mac was stationed at several places while in the military that included; Vietnam (3 tours) Travis AFB, Andrews AFB (on Air Force One and Two) Ramstein AFB, Germany, and finally, Warner Robins AFB ( flying Cent-Com with General's Norman Schwarzkopf and Crist ). Mac retired as a Master Sergeant. After the military, Mac continued to serve his country at Robins Air Force Base as a civil servant for 20 years. He also volunteered at the Museum of Aviation for over 8 years. When Mac was not flying for work, he enjoyed golfing, boating, fishing, bowling, and reading. Most importantly, Mac enjoyed spending time with his beloved family and pets. Mac is survived by his cherished wife, Barbara McAdam; son, Sean (Melissa) McAdam; Joan McAdam (sister-in-law), 5 nephews, and step children: John Miles Cooper III ; numerus grandchildren including: Kalani and Kailyn Clark; Katie Toliver; and Cathy Russel and several great grandchildren including step great grandchildren; and a host of extended friends and family.
