Dennis Leroy Rang
November 17th, 1948 - April 2nd, 2023
Dennis Leroy Rang, 74, of Melbourne Florida, passed away on April 2nd, 2023. He was affectionately referred to as Denny. He was predeceased by his mother, Laverne Rang, by his father, Leroy Rang, his brother Bryan Rang, his sister Bonnie Valentine, and his first wife Evangelina Rang. He left behind his wife of 31 years, Nancy Rang, his son Patrick Rang, his daughters Aissa Pineda and Marissa Rang, his stepdaughters Kathryn (Sebastien Brismeur) Schrems and Rebecca Schrems, his grandchildren Eva, Viviana, Jared and Sean, his great grandchild Zavien, and his brothers and sisters Terri Rang, Jim Rang, John (Karen) Rang and Gina Patty, and his many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Denny was an Army Veteran, he served from 1966-1969 and was stationed at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. He left Texas and moved his family to Indiana, where he was born. He started to work for Regency Communications in 1972 and then he transferred to Satellite Beach, Florida in 1976 to continue his work with Regency. He worked for Regency Communications for 20+ years and left to work at Northrop Grumman from 2001-2006. He retired in 2006. Denny and his wife Nancy enjoyed traveling all over the world and cruising the oceans. Denny was a lifelong, die-hard fan of the St. Louis Cardinal baseball team. He attended many spring training games to see his favorite team play. He was also committed to obtaining St. Louis Cardinal memorabilia and he loved his amassed collection. He loved to play golf, he enjoyed wearing Hawaiian shirts, he loved his hats, driving fast, and drinking “Natty” light. He also loved collecting Native American art and collectibles. Denny was a remarkable figure of a man that made a lasting impression so that once you met him, you never forgot him. He was always there when you needed him and he was always giving everyone a hard time, but always with love behind it. During his life he was a Little League coach, a basketball referee, a band manager, and a sound guy. Denny was all these people but most of all he was an exceptional father, a terrific husband, a phenomenal son, and a generous brother. All in all, he was just a rare and remarkable man.
