Dennis Franklin Rock

Dennis Franklin Rock, 66 of Fort Denaud, Florida passed away on May 30, 2023 in Lake Placid Health and Rehabilitation Center. Dennis was born in Lake Butler, Florida on May 29, 1957 to Donald F. Rock, Sr and Helen D. Rock. He worked for many years as a Herbicide Technician for the Polk County, Florida Department of Transportation. He married Sally Ann Hale. Dennis was an assistant coach with the LaBelle Pop Warner Football for many years, he was a member of the Lehigh Concert Band in Lehigh Acres for many years, he was a member of the Carlson United Methodist Church of LaBelle and the Alva United Methodist Church of Alva both for many years. Dennis leaves fond memories with his loving wife Sally Ann Rock of Fort Denaud, Florida, brother, Donald “Donnie” F. Rock, Jr of Lehigh Acres, Florida, two daughters; Deana and Ashley, one son; Jason, two grandchildren; Brandon and Riley of Florida, cousin, Georgene Ross of Hilliard, Ohio along with three cats; Tigger, Sylvester and Squirt along with many extended family and friends. Dennis never met a stranger, he would talk for many hours and he loved singing in the church choir. Dennis was preceded in death by his father; Donald F. Rock, Sr, his mother; Helen D. Rock, Sister; Frances Marie Rock, and one cat; Cali. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation rites are being handled by Akin-Davis Funeral Home – LaBelle.
