Dennis "Denny" Darren Turner

Dennis "Denny" Darren Turner Dennis “Denny” Darren Turner, 53, a lifetime resident of Olympia, passed away at home December 17, 2012. Denny was born in Olympia on August 19, 1959. He is survived by his parents, Warren and Sheldean Turner; sister, De’Anna Reiten, and her husband, Jeff.Denny was a 1977 graduate of Capitol High School. After high school, he attended Fort Steilacoom College and obtained his associate degree. Later in life, he obtained a degree in computer science. Denny enrolled in the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 26 apprenticeship program and, in October 1985, became a journeyman plumber. He worked locally in the Puget Sound area throughout his career. Denny loved to work and was a perfectionist in everything he did. Later in life, he developed Psoriatic Arthritis and was unable to continue his work in the trades. Although faced with many challenges in life, he met them with determination. Denny always thought of others before himself. In his early years, Denny loved to play his guitar. He enjoyed golf, photography, computers, and going to Mexico. Denny was extremely intelligent and had a quick wit and joyful sense of humor that would light up any room. He enjoyed talking to people and was a best friend to everyone who knew him. He was kind and non-judgmental and always saw good in people no matter what the situation. Above all, he had a soft and gentle soul full of love and kindness. At long last, Denny will be free from suffering and pain. May he forever rest in peace. A Memorial Service will be held January 5, 2013 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at South Sound Manor, 455 North St. SE, Tumwater, WA.
