Derrick Reid Northcutt, 23, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at home in Cayce, SC. Born on November 17, 1996, he was the son of Robyn Derrick and Ricky Northcutt. He attended Brookland-Cayce High School. Reid was known for his big personality and sense of humor. With a quick wit and a warm smile, he enjoyed making everyone around him laugh, even while struggling with the demons of addiction. He loved his family and friends fiercely and worked hard to get clean so that he could enjoy more of life with them. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother Zach Northcutt (Katie); grandmothers Arilla Northcutt and Rhonda Derrick; uncles Joey Northcutt, Chris Derrick (Erin); aunts Tricia Hayes (Sheldon) and Amy Taylor (Brian); as well as a niece, a nephew, a number of cousins and other extended family members who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Rick Northcutt and Richard Derrick. Visitation and a memorial service will be held at Thompson Funeral Home in Lexington on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 1pm.
