Desiree Zierer
March 23rd, 1958 - April 9th, 2023
Desiree Lou Zierer, 65, passed away at home on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023, into the loving embrace of Jesus. Desiree was born on Sunday, March 23, 1958 in Amarillo Texas to Louis Hugh and Mildred Frances McClain. Desiree is survived by her loving husband Mark, big sister Trisha, brother in-law Randy, niece Tinnifer and husband Jason, niece Jillian and husband Bryan, grand nieces and nephews Dalton, Dakota, Jameson, Jaxon, and Trinity. Those of us who loved Desiree knew a beautiful soul who was loving, kind, intelligent, compassionate, loyal, and trusting. Desiree liked all kinds of animals, putting puzzles together, the warm morning sun on her face, potatoes, coffee, chocolate, artichokes, peas without carrots, chocolate milk and the flowers planted for her. I will miss sharing these things with you Desiree, my loving wife. All praise to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and His gospel. Desiree had a few jobs growing up from waitress to motel maid. Her employment at Honeywell Bluewater and Honeywell Defense Avionics Systems Division were the jobs she liked most. Desiree worked at Honeywell in many capacities for approximately 35 years. Her many duties included Quality Assurance Inspector, wave solder operator, conformal coat, SMT, and where the circuit cards were cleaned. She interacted with many co-workers, vendors, and engineers to perform her duties. Thank you to the many people Desiree worked with at Honeywell, as she liked her job there and felt like she was accomplishing something worthwhile. The people she worked with were important to her. Thank you also for the compassionate care she received from the neurosurgeon, doctors, nurses, therapists, and others who were involved with her care. The include Presbyterian Hospital, Encompass Rehab Hospital, New Mexico Cancer Center, Compassus Home Health Care, and Compassus Hospice. Desiree had the will to live and tried very hard. Thank you beyond measure. All involved with her care tried to assist her at the best of their abilities. A celebration of her life will be held at Vertical Church Taylor Ranch, 4801 Montano Rd. NW Suite A10 on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 2:00 PM. Everyone who knew her is cordially invited to attend.
