Diana Lynn Dean, 48 of Church Hill, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday (March 29th, 2016) at Holston Valley Hospital. An avid reader, she was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend . She loved animals, especially cats. She never met an animal she didn't like. Diana worked for several years for Crown Vending and more recently for Liberty Tax Service. She will be known for going out of her way to help a friend and stranded animals. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Thelma Paul. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, James Dean; son, Chris Dean; parents, Mike and Theresa Smith; brother, Tony Smith and wife Rhonda; nephews, Noah, Caleb Smith and Michael Paul; uncle, Randy Paul; father in law, Dennis Dean and many, many friends. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Friday (April 1st, 2016) at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill. A service will follow at 8pm with Rev. Andy Sensabaugh officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 11am Saturday (April 2nd, 2016) at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Those who plan to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50am. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
