Hobbs, Diana Rose (82) of St. Petersburg, died peacefully on July 1, 2017. Born in Hartford, CT, she moved to St. Petersburg in 1957 and began working at Citizen's National Bank. After her 6th child was born, she went back to school, earned a degree in Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse for many years. She was a 50 year member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her parents, Erwin and Sarah Hyson, and Carl Angelica. Survivors include her children, Jim (Laurie) Hobbs, Margaret (Jim) Ladd, Thomas (Judy) Hobbs, Diana (Robert) Colwell, Ann Marie (Walt) Hoambrecker, Kendra (Michael) Cote, her sisters, Sarah Calkins, Frances (David)Brown, her brothers, Henry (Lyn) Hyson, Thomas (Simone)Hyson, Erwin (Cindy) Hyson, William Hyson, and Allen Hyson, 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Visitation will be on Friday, July 7th from 5 - 7 pm at Anderson-McQueen Family Tribute Center, 2201 Dr. M. L. King Street N, where a funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, July 8th. Memorial contributions may be made to Beta Sigma Phi or Suncoast Hospice.
