Mrs. Diane Jones Brookins, passed away July 10, 2024 at Pine Point Hospice. She was 76 years old. A visitation will be at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Saturday, July 13th, 2024 between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. A celebration of her life will be held in the Chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Sunday, July 14th, 2024 at 2:00 PM. A committal service will immediately follow at Parkway Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request donation be made to, Northside Baptist Church, 1013 Carl Vinson Pkwy, Centerville, GA 31028; Atrium Health Navicent Hospice Pine Pointe, 6261 Peake Rd, Macon, GA 31210; or to, ALS United of Georgia, 227 Sandy Springs Pl NE Suite D, Box #304, Sandy Springs, GA 30328

 

Diane was born on September 27, 1947 to the late John and Darothy Jones. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved siblings and step child: Dewey Mark Brookins. Diane dedicated her life to serving others and her family. She retired from Navicent Health as a Human Resource Officer after numerous years of service. Diane enjoyed arts and crafts, cooking, and most importantly, spending time with her family.

Diane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and dear friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

 

Diane is survived by her husband of 37 years, Dewey Malcolm Brookins; daughters: Donna League and Joanne Dees; step sons: Michael Brookins and Steve Brookins; numerous grandchildren, several great grandchildren, sister, brother, and a host of extended friends and family.
