Born in Oakland, California. A graduate of Castlemont High School - Class of 1958. Diane is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 49 years, Robert (Bob) Martin; son Robert (Jules) Martin, daughters Gina Martin and Tina Martin Stephen; grandson Frankie (Jennifer) Stephen; great granddaughter Sadie Stephen; daughter of the late Tony and Elsie Vassallo; sister Florence Vassallo Pardini; brother Anthony Vassallo; brother-in-law Rich (Jan) Martin; sister-in-law Judy Martin Mendoza; and 12 nieces and nephews. After growing up in Oakland and raising her family in Fremont, Diane and Bob retired to the foothills of Jackson, CA. Diane was proud of her Italian heritage, worked for Wells Fargo Bank for 25 years, played bridge with her girlfriends of 30+ years, loved to entertain, traveled to many countries, but most of all loved spending time with family and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 5th at 2 P.M. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church at 38451 Fremont Blvd, Fremont. In lieu of flowers, the Martin family asks for a donation to Amador County Hospice at www.hospiceofamador.org (P.O. Box 595, Jackson, CA 95642).
