Diane Marie Perez, JD, a 34 resident of Alamo, CA died peacefully in her sleep on Feb. 10, 2012, surrounded by her family at bed side at the Brun's Hospice Home in Alamo, after a long 5 year battle with lung cancer...Diane was 75. She was born in San Francisco in 1936, of parents Luis and Mable Nieto. Diane graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy in 1954. She married Rudolph C. Perez of San Francisco on Aug. 24, 1974, and lovingly raised her two sons, Christian R. Perez and Matthew R. Perez in Alamo. Diane excelled in medicine earning a Doctorate, and in law becoming an Attorney, and the Manager of Medical Legal Services for Kaiser Hospital in Walnut Creek for 17 years before retiring. Diane and Rudy loved traveling in their 1932 Ford hot rods, as active members of the Los Angeles Roadsters, Bay Area Roadsters and the San Ramon Valley Roadsters thru out the US and Canada. Diane was honored in 1974, as one of the first 100 Wife Life Members of the National Street Rod Association. Diane was an avid reader of mystery novels, gourmet cooking books and TV cooking shows, great homemaker, and animal lover to her pet cat, Cinco and bulldog Deuce. Diane is survived by her beloved husband, Rudy; sons, Christian Perez of San Ramon, Matthew Perez of Livermore, daughter in law Sarah Perez; granddaughter, Macy Perez; brother, Eddie Nieto of Rocklin, CA and countless nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 10 AM Thursday, February 23, 2012 at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 440 La Gonda Way, Danville. Diane will be buried at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma, CA In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions in honor of Diane's life may be made to the Hospice of the East Bay, 3470 Buskirk Ave., Pleasant Hill, CA 94523.
