Diane Stanton Diane (McDowell) Stanton, 68 passed away April 4, 2016 at her home in Junction City, OR of natural causes. She was born March 18, 1948 in Atmore, AL to Cecil and Ruby McDowell. She grew up in Grants Pass, OR and graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1966. She met and married Bob Stanton and moved to Junction City in the late 60’s. She worked as an office manager for A & R Lumber for 39 years. She had one daughter, Sarah (Stanton) LeGendre and granddaughter, Emma Deutschman of Junction City. They were the center of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Robert and Jim McDowell and her husband Bob Stanton. She is survived by her daughter Sarah and son-in-law Andy of Junction City, step daughters Missy Adkinson of Willamina and Kristy (Loyal) Hamilton of Sheridan, her granddaughters Emma, Janelle, Morgan, Savannah, Karli and Madeline, her sister Judy (Chris) Sorensen of Grants Pass and her brother, Jon (Kim) McDowell of Powell, WY. A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on April 24, 2016 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm at the Long Tom Grange located at 25855 Ferguson Rd., Junction City, OR. All of those who loved her are invited. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Greenhill Humane Society. Arrangements entrusted to Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home.
