Dianne Barnett Tasillo

Dianne Barnett Tasillo of Charleston died on Sunday, July 13 surrounded by her family. Dianne was born on August 24, 1951 in Spartanburg to Aubrey and Jean (Brown) Barnett. She lived a majority of her life on James Island, where she always considered “home.” She had worked many years as a clerical specialist for MUSC, and a couple of years at Heartland of West Ashley where she found her true calling of caring for older adults. Dianne had a true zest for life! More than anything she loved to be out on her boat or at the beach. She spent as much time as she could out on the water with family and friends. Dianne never missed an opportunity to sample the fine cuisine of Charleston. She loved to go and try new places to eat as well as frequent her favorites in the area. Dianne also enjoyed her trips to Islamorada. She is survived by one son, Richard Furman Moore IV of Charleston, one daughter, Christina Lynn Moore of Charleston, grandchildren, Gregory and Tayler Moore of Charleston, one sister, Cheryl Westmoreland of LaGrange GA, nieces and nephews, Cameron Westmoreland Meyer of LaGrange GA, Robyn Westmoreland Price of Statesboro GA, William Palmer Westmoreland of Augusta GA, and many very special friends! Visitation for Dianne will take place on Wednesday, July 16 from 11:00AM – 1:00PM at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation & Burial Services (7475 Peppermill Parkway, North Charleston SC 29418). Services celebrating her life will follow at 1:00PM. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Embrace Hospice or to Heartland of West Ashley Activities Department.
