Dixie Lee Walker, of Wilton, California, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 in Sacramento, California at the age of 86. She was born in Oil City, Pennsylvania on April 22, 1931, the youngest of twelve children, to the late Bertha (Mitchell) and Carl William Golden. She was the devoted wife of Sidney Walker. Dixie was raised in Kevin, Montana by her adoptive mother, Ora Farr. She attended college at the University of Montana where she earned her teaching degree. She taught home economics and English at the school in Highwood Montana where she met and fell in love with her soulmate, Sidney. She loved teaching, but gave this up after 13 years to raise her children and care for the family home. Dixie is survived by her husband, Sidney Walker, of Wilton, California; daughter, Cydney Fenton, and her husband Bradford, of Anchorage, Alaska; son, Larry Walker, and his wife, Claudia, of Wilton, California; nine grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. Friends are invited to attend a public visitation on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. followed by a funeral service at 2:00 P.M., at Daneri Mortuary, 415 Broadway, Jackson, California. Interment will take place in the Garden of Trees at Sunset View Cemetery in Jackson, CA.
