Three children were born along the way, and they finally settled in her present home in St. Petersburg in 1960. Dolly was raised in the church and raised her family in the church. Dolly had fun participating on the Yellow Pages bowling league and won several awards and trophies. She lunched with the Red Hat Society of IRB on several occasions. Some of her pastimes were dancing at Joyland. She loved to bake cakes/cupcakes, read, sew, cook, and knit. In her younger years she was always up for camping/fishing trips with family/friends. She would be laughing while -people watching- anywhere, anytime. Dolly attended Darlington School to 10th grade and received her GED certificate in St. Petersburg FL.
