Dolores Eleanor Brooks-Aragón

Dolores Eleanor Brooks-Aragón, 97, a lifelong resident of El Carmen, New Mexico, passed away peacefully in her home on July 28, 2021. Dolores was born on May 03, 1924 in Ledoux, New Mexico to Samuel Brooks and Manuelita Esponoza. Dolores was a passionate rancher who valued her family and her Christian faith. Dolores gave birth to 14 children, successfully ran the Aragón ranch for many years and later volunteered as a foster grandparent for the Mora Independent School district. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband: Secundino T Aragón; Sister: Rosie Brooks-Gandert; Son: James (Jimmy) Aragón; Grandsons: Santiago Casados, Mathew Casados, Eric Trujillo & Jeremy Aragón. Delores leaves behind a beautiful legacy with 72 living descendants. She is survived by 10 Children: Leroy (Mary Jean) Aragón of Santa Fe, NM; Charlie Aragón of Phoenix, AZ; Billy (Roberta) Aragón of Houston, TX; Theresa Aragón of Las Vegas, NM; Arnold Aragón of Ledoux, NM; Patsy Aragón of El Carmen, NM; Lucille (Jose) Scisneros of Santa Fe, NM; JoAnne Gandert of Albuquerque, NM; Denise (Joey) Casados of Los Aguatas, NM; and Norma Aragón of Albuquerque. Delores is survived by 25 Grandchildren: Veronica, Sydney, Tim, Lorraine, Diana, Marcos, Angelo, Cheryl, Cyndie, Charles, Joshua, Gabriel, Carla, Pamela, Jeremy, Nicole, Joseph, Jonathan, Terrance, Christian, Denae, Lenae, Shanay, Jennifer, Jamie, and Justeen. Delores also had 34 Great Grandchildren: Steven, Sabrina, Nyla, Antonio, Dalaina, Mason, Jade, Reagan, Pierce, Thatcher, Jacob, Josh, Jamin, Camden, Gabriel, Christian, Lexi, Bailey, Brooklynn, Jaylynn, Tristin, Josiah, Amaryah, Cianna, Avree, Jayden, Jaycie, Jaylee, Kaitlyn, Donovan, Antonio, George, Joseph, Zachery, and Julia. Delores also had 3 Great-Great Grandchildren: Samuel, Terrance, and Scarlett.
