Dolores Ethel Halfmann

Dolores Ethel Halfmann, 90, passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours of Saturday, December 26, 2020. She was the third of five children and was born in Calumet, Wisconsin on February 23, 1930. Her husband Louis preceded her in death and she is survived by one sister, Rosemary Daun, her nine children, Lynn Reyes (Raul), Thomas Halfmann, Gerald Halfmann (Teresa), Donna Hall, Richard Halfmann, Mary Halfmann-Lockart (Kevin), Kristine Panas, Michael Halfmann (Meilii), Paula Fenton, twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Dolores was a nurse’s aide at Chilton Hospital in Chilton, Wisconsin, and upon moving to Tucson in 1967 was hired at St. Josephs Hospital in the Pediatric Unit. She eventually retired from Kino Hospital, where she worked in the Gerontology and Psychiatric Units. She spent her retirement years enjoying her grandchildren and her hobbies of baking, arts and crafts, and sewing. She always loved hosting and cooking for her family and friends for holidays and special events. Her children especially loved that she would bake their favorite dessert for their birthdays. She will be missed greatly.
