Dominic DiLorenzo

Dominic (Minghitto) DiLorenzo, 100, passed away on December 29, 2014 at University of Colorado Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado. Preceded in death by his wife Pauline in 1990. He is survived by his daughter Michelle (Kevin) Skillen, Grandchildren: Therese (Robert) Anderson; Brian Skillen; Mary (Chris) Dale; Great-grandchildren: Alexis Anderson, Hannah Anderson, Dominic Anderson, Hailey Anderson, Dayna Dunn and Ayriel Dunn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, many cousins and friends. Dominic was born in San Pietro Avellana, Isernia, Italy May 9, 1914. He was the second of four brothers (Leon, Al [Elio] and Rudy [Nespoline]). He migrated along with most of his family to Denver, Colorado in 1930. He was a Corporal in the Army during World War II and served in Algeria and Italy during the war. He married Pauline Figliolino in 1948 and they settled into North Denver with family and friends where they lived for many years. During his later years, he moved into the Colorado State Veterans Home at Fitzsimons in Aurora, Colorado. He will be missed by family and friends for his generosity and fighting spirit.
