Dominic "Jack" Sardelli

Dominic "Jack" Sardelli, age 77, of Gloversville passed away on Thursday March 29, 2012 at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. He was born in Ft. Plain, NY on March 21, 1935 the son of the late Dominic John Sardelli and Iva Dittman Sardelli. On October 27, 1956, Jack married Juanita Krofft Sardelli. They shared 33 years united in marriage until her passing on March 8, 1990. Jack was the owner, operator and barber of Johnny's Barber Shop on East Fulton Street in Gloversville for many years. He was also the past president of the former Fulton County Barbers Association. Jack was of the Catholic Faith. He was an Alter Boy at the former St Mary's Catholic Church in Gloversville. He was an avid bowler and a member of many bowling leagues. Jack loved golfing and was a member of the Kingsboro Golf Club. Jack also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survives by a son; Daniel P. Sardelli Debbie of Mayfield, three granddaughters: Apryl Gene, Anita, Allison, one great granddaughter: Hailey, four step grandchildren: Matthew, Melissa, Elizabeth, John, five siblings: Nancy Antonucci Louis, Millie Lewis Harry, Marilyn Cole Wayne, Darla DelSignore Bob and Bob Sardelli Susan. Additional survivors include several nieces and nephews. A prayer service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday April 2, 2012 at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville with the Rev. Rendell Torres officiating. Calling hours will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Jack can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave, Gloversville, NY 12078 or to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205.
