Dominick Costanzo
May 29th, 1923 - February 28th, 2015
Mr. Dominick Costanzo, 91, of Burtonville Rd., Fultonville, NY passed away Saturday February 28, 2015 at his home with his loving family at his side. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey on May 29, 1923 a son of the late James and Josephine Incanno Costanzo. Mr. Costanzo was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during World War II. After the war he was employed as a plumber for GSA at the Scotia Naval Depot in Scotia, NY. He was employed there from 1950 until his retirement in 1987. He was of the Roman Catholic Faith. Mr. Costanzo married Theresa M. Paul on July 1, 1946. In addition to his beloved wife, survivors include one son, James (Teri) Costanzo of Delmar, two daughters, Mary Anne Blowers (Tony Mahar) of Schenectady, and Theresa (Thomas) Tompkins of Mariaville, one brother, Charles Costanzo of Charleston, a niece, Josephine Salvatore Breuer (Rob and Laura), and grandsons, John (Christine), James (Michelle) and Jesse (Sherry) Costanzo whom he raised as his own. He is also survived by grandchildren, Terri, Jason, Chris, Jamie, Andrea, Kelly, Dan, and Kerri along with great-grandchildren, Drew, Dominick, Jacob, Ryan, Sierra, AJ, Ava, Samantha, Alexa, Kayla, Kyle, Mason, Jayce, Jackson, and Ethan. He was predeceased by a son John A. Costanzo on August 19, 1986, his siblings, John Costanzo, Agnes Tuccio, Anthony Costanzo, Louis Costanzo and Mildred Salvatore, as well as his nephew, Michael Salvatore, whom he also raised. Dominick's family would like to thank Mountain Valley Hospice for all of their wonderful care and support during this most difficult time. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 4, 2015 at 6:00P.M. at the Jackson and Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St., Fultonville, NY 12072. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00P.M. prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave, Gloversville, NY 12078.
