Don Eddie Fagg passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021. He was predeceased by his wife, Rebecca (Becky). He is survived by his daughter, Lizette (Francis) McGillan, and his grandsons Devin and Ryan McGillan. He was so happy that his boys had brought Kimberly and Tedra into their lives. He is also survived by his brother, Charles (Nancy) Fagg, a niece and nephews. Don was born October 13, 1939 in Danbury, N.C. to Lehmon and Della Fagg. At a young age, Don moved with his family to Columbia, where he attended Rosewood Elementary and Hand Junior High School, before graduating from Dreher High School. Don served in the SC Air National Guard, stationed at Chaumont-Semoutiers air base in France as part of the 169th Material Squadron. It was during this time he began his career in electronics repair. He had his own electronics repair shop, West Columbia Electronics, for over 40 years. He retired to his favorite past times- working in his yard, attending the MidState Beekeepers meetings, having the best garden for miles around, and teaching his grandsons how to catch stripers and shoot pool. If someone needed a small engine repair, chances are you could find them in Don’s driveway, hovering over his shoulder while he fixed the problem, always happy to help a friend. There will be a private graveside service at Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church. Arrangements were made through Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Memorials may be made to Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
