Donald V. Asbury

Donald Vinson Asbury, age 89, sadly passed away in the earl morning hours of November 24, 2023 at his home in Peyton, Colorado. Born on January 5, 1934 to Douglas Malcom Asbury and Maude Merlin Page Asbury in Liberty, West Virginia. Donald bravely and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. and earned the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant before honorably retiring. Preceded in death are Donald's parents Douglas and Maude Asbury, brothers Orville, Hershall, Vadron, Bert and Ray Asbury and sisters Eleanore Casto and Lenore. Those left behind to cherish Donald's memory are loving wife of 65 years Margaret "Peggy" Lee Asbury, daughters Ginger Dee Brining, Genice Asbury Heflin, sisters Audrey My Fay, Lorretta Wheeler, Jane Asbury and brother Frank Asbury. Donald graduated High School and was a Mechanic for numerous businesses, Toys for Tots was very near and dear to his heart and worked for them for many years. Committal Services will be held at Pikes Peak National Cemetery on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the charity of your choice.
