Donald Leroy Baxter

Donald L. Baxter, 88, of Greeley, formerly of Kingman, AZ passed away November 9, 2022 at his home. Donald was born August 8, 1934 in Iowa to Filby and Olive (Grade) Baxter. He grew up on a farm in Iowa. He married Jean Paulsen on July 10, 1954 in Iowa. In 1968 they moved to Denver where they raised their children. Don worked for Western Electric for 36 years and retired from there in 1989. They then moved to Kingman, Arizona in 1998. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trips to the casino’s with his wife. He always had a smile on his face and had a great sense of humor. He is survived by his children; Deborah Swarm of Northglenn, CO, Keith Baxter (Paula) of Greeley, CO, Steven Baxter of Scottsdale, AZ, and Kelly Flores (Jimmy) of LaLuz, NM; grandchildren; Dustin Swarm, Dawn Velotta (Joey), Jerimy Flores(Andrea), Brandie Flores(Mondo), Jessica Nemorin (Carl), Darin Swarm, Erika McNichol (Justin), Brittney Emerson (John), Lore Baxter, Nikole Baxter (Erik), Joshua Flores, and Keith Baxter, Jr.; 17 great-grandchildren and his siblings, Joe Baxter (Mary Lou) of Illinois, Pauline Seaba of Iowa, Margie Vanpolen (Jim) of Iowa, Janice West (Steve) of Iowa and Linda Tedrow (Gary) of Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his brother David Baxter. A Life Celebration will be held at 3:00pm Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Adamson Life Celebration Home.
