Donald Joe Brandon, 88, passed from this life to eternal life with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 22, 2023. Don was born in Cramerton, NC on August 24, 1934 to Ruth Featherston Brandon and John Ray Brandon. He worked for Allied Chemical / Honeywell in Industrial Management for 38 years, most of which was spent at the Allied plant in Columbia, SC. Don was lovingly known as Daddy B. Don was a longtime member of Riverland Hills Baptist Church where he served as youth Sunday School teacher, Deacon, Lead Usher and member of the Bethel Sunday School Class. Don was predeceased by his parents, Ruth and Ray Brandon and his youngest brother, Max Brandon. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Shirley Brandon; his daughter, Janet Brandon Clark (J.M. (Corky) Clark, Jr.); his son, Donald Joe Brandon, Jr.; his granddaughter, Betsey Clark Ruff (Russell T. Ruff) and his great grandsons, Cooper Clark Ruff and Davis Elihu Ruff. He is also survived by his much-loved brother, Dr. Daniel R. Brandon (Nancy) and numerous nieces and nephews. A Service of Witness to the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, May 27th at Riverland Hills Baptist Church, 201 Lake Murray Blvd., Irmo, SC, 29063 beginning at 11:00 am. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 10:00 am at the church. A private burial will follow.
