Donald F. Doucette, 79, passed away peacefully at Bay Pines Hospice on Sunday, April 10, 2011. Don was born Jan. 3, 1932 in Malden, MA and moved to Florida in 1969. A proud Army veteran serving from 1948 - 1952, he was awarded the Korean Service Medal and a Bronze Campaign Star. Don was a life member of VFW Post 9272 and Amvets Post 67, a Charter member of FOE Aerie 3452 where he was just presented his 40 year pin, and the Golden Age Eagle Award. He was also an American Legion member, Post 252 for 28 years. Don is survived by his wife of 24 years, Barbara "Buffy" Doucette, his daughter Donna (Charlie) Shields, MA, his son Anthony Joseph Doucette, Clearwater, FL, sister Catherine "Dolly" Clements, CA, brother William "Mickey" Anthony (Theresa "Terry") Doucette, MA, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and additional extended family members. There will be a private cremation with David C. Gross Funeral Homes and interment at Bay Pines National Cemetery on Friday, April 22nd at 2:15PM. There will be an Eagles Memorial in Don's memory at the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3452, 1485 Gulf to Bay Blvd, Clearwater, FL, on Saturday, April 23rd at 2:00 PM. David C.
