Donald V. Duran September 26, 1952 – December 5, 2017 Donald Victor Duran, 65, of Albuquerque, NM, met our Lord peacefully on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Lovelace Medical Center in the presence of many loved ones. Born in Albuquerque to Joe and Frances Duran where he lived most of his life. Donald loved the Lord, his family and basketball. He was an active youth basketball referee and proud member of the 1971 Albuquerque High Bulldogs Class AAAA Basketball State Champions. He loved classic and latin infused rock music and was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys, Lakers, Dodgers and Lobo fan. We will miss his wonderful sense of humor. Donald is survived by his dad Joe Duran, son Dominic Duran and wife Jana, granddaughters Kayleigh and Brooke, daughter Desiree Massey, grandchildren Deshatin and Dalilah, brother Joe Duran and wife AnnaMarie, sister Dolores Duran Contreras and late husband Francisco, sister Cathy Garcia and husband Robert, brother Chris Duran and wife Angela, sister Jessica Duran, sister Theresa Duran-Sanchez and husband Frankie, and many loving and cherished nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, uncle, friend, and teammate. A service celebrating his life will be at 10AM on December 12, 2017 at Newsoul Church, 7311 Glenrio RD NW, Albuquerque, NM 87121. Flowers can be sent to Newsoul Church in his name during the hours of 9AM to 4PM. Everyone is encouraged to wear blue!
