Life Legacy Donald G. Ford, 83 passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 in Salinas. He was born May 13, 1933 in Pittsburgh, PA and lived for the past 40 years in Salinas. Donald was Retired from the U.S. Army having served for 23 years. Donald loved to work in in garden. He also played "Go" Chess on the internet and Racquetball in his earlier years, and enjoyed fishing and answering trivia questions. He loved his family and family gatherings. Donald is survived by his sons, Donald (Dena) Ford Jr.I of Sunnyvale and Donald (Lori) Ford Jr. II of Porterville, his daughters, Yoshiko Smith of St. Petersburg, FL and Junko Kohler of Woodbridge, VA. Also surviving are Numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grandchildren along with numerous Nieces and Nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nobuko Ford in 2012, both parents, 7 Brothers and 1 sister. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 1 - 9 PM at the Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Rd., Salinas, CA 93905. Graveside Services will be held, Friday, September 30, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas, CA 93906 with Full Military Honors to follow.
