Donald J. Garrity

Garrity, Donald J., "Biggie" 95 passed away peacefully in St. Petersburg, Florida surrounded by his loving family on December 17, 2016. A 50 year resident of Florida, Don was predeceased by his wife, Natalie Garrity (nee Irish); parents, Frank and Eileen Garrity; sister, Eileen Frink; brothers, Paul and Frank Garrity. He is survived by his brother, Russell Garrity, sons, Ken, Steve, Peter and Brian; beloved daughters, Diane Paris, Barbara Blake; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Don was born in Arlington, Massachusetts in 1921. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII where he trained B-24 bomber pilots. A self-made businessman, he founded two manufacturing companies, Beacon Printing Ink in Somerville, Massachusetts and Florida Graphics Products in Tampa, Florida. Don and Natalie's sense of adventure led them to wander North American in their RV. A celebration of Don's life will be held at a later date in the Boston area. Don will be remembered for his sense of humor and bottomless generosity.
