Donald M. Gibbs 54 of St. Petersburg passed away January 20, 2016. He was born in Tallahassee, FL on August 30, 1961 and lived in Jackson, MS and Montgomery, AL before settling in St. Petersburg. Donny was a "Jack-of-all-trades" entrepreneur. He loved the building trades as well as lawn and landscape maintenance, including irrigation systems. He enjoyed fishing, boating, skateboarding and freestyle biking. He even tried his hand at whitewater canoeing. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Dell Matthews Gibbs, and brother, David Wesley Gibbs, of Montgomery. He is survived by his father, George S. Gibbs III, and stepmother, Betty Kilgore Gibbs, of Louisville; stepsister, Gwinn Marie Moss of Raleigh, NC; stepbrother Jack Aerod Moss Jr. (Susan) of Louisville and their children Elliott, Wesley, and Rhodes. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation was at Southern Memorial Funeral Home in Montgomery, Alabama, followed by burial at Greenwood Cemetery on Tuesday, January 26, 2016. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be sent to Kilgore Samaritan Counseling Center, P.O. Box 6728, Louisville, Kentucky, 40206 or the charity of your choice . David C.
