Donald Joseph Gould

Donald Joseph Gould, age 80, passed on to be with the Lord on December 18, 2017. He is survived by his "beautiful" and loving wife, Sharleen, of 57 years, daughter, De Ann, son David and wife Hope, daughter Jennifer and husband Kevin, granddaughters, Chelsea, Grace, Madeline, Lydia and Anna, grandson, Nik, brother Ed Gould and wife, Sylvia, sister Betty Huston, sister-in-law Carol and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by twin sister, Dorothy (18 mo's old); younger brother, Fran Gould, his parents and dear friend, Bob Lederer. Don served in the United States Military as Specialist Second Class from March 21, 1955 - March 20, 1958. He provided for his family with a career at Sandia Labs from 1961 - 2001. His passion was our loving God the Father, whom he trusted in to be content in all circumstances. His hobby was working for H & R Block tax service for 45 years. For many years, he and his family and devoted friend, Robert would sit on the UNM Pit bleachers watching, and rooting for the UNM Lobos' Basketball teams (boys and girls). Don spent endless hours working with his hands, building, and gardening; giving to others what he had grown with his hands. Cremation has taken place and a visitation will be held at Heritage Christian Fellowship, 11104 Menaul Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, N.M. on Friday, December 22, from 4-7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. A celebration of life service will be held at Heritage Christian Fellowship, Saturday, December 23, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heritage Christian Fellowship, in his name. Don's family and friends loved him dearly and he will be greatly missed.
