Donald (Don) Eugene Hague passed away on August 5, 2021 in Boise. Graveside services will be held at Glenn Rest Cemetery, in Glenns Ferry at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. Don was born in Hannibal, Missouri to Don and Daisy Hague on August 7, 1935, the eldest of three children. Don lived in Center and Mexico, Missouri during his growing up years. He graduated from Mexico High School then studied Journalism at University of Missouri. He married Nina Harris in 1957 and they had seven children all “K’s”, Kim, Kerri, Keleigh, Kristopher, Kandy, Kayce and Kourtney. He built a home for his large family completely on his own. Don was the radio manager of KXEO Radio in Mexico, MO. He then followed an opportunity to move out west to manage KLIX Radio in Twin Falls, Idaho. He became the News Anchor for Channel 2 KBOI with Paul J Schneider covering Sports. He was a writer and advertising manager for Boise Cascade Manufactured Housing. It was at Boise Cascade that Don met and married Larraine. They were married 36 years. They traveled in their motorhomes visiting numerous states and RV rallies. Don and Larraine were avid BSU fans and had the best tailgates for many years. They enjoyed traveling to the Fiesta Bowl 2014. Don continued his career writing proposals for Morrison-Knudsen. When he retired from MK he worked for Macy’s in mens. In 2017, after shoving for his neighbors’ driveways and streets during snowmageddon, he fell and broke his leg. This was the beginning of a four year battle with dementia, which ended with his death on August 5, 2021 Don was preceded in death by his parents, sister Judy Pehle, Judy’s infant daughter Angie, brother Jim Hague and daughter Keleigh Bechard He is survived by his caring wife, Larraine Hague, six children, that he loved dearly, Kim Rigg (Richard), Kerri Reynolds (Randy), Kristopher Hague, Kandi Walters (Brad), Kayce McEwan (Rob) and Kourtney Hester (Patrick); brother in law Jim Pehle, fourteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren and five nieces and nephews.

Our funeral home opened in 2005 when Jerry and Janette Rost purchased the business. We’ve continued to grow along with Mountain Home. Jerry’s career began more than fifty years ago in Boise, and along the way, he acquired an 1897 horse-drawn funeral carriage, which we proudly display in our facility....
