Donald W. Jonas Our loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Donald W. Jonas, 85, of Rockledge, Florida passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Monday March 28th 2011 at Wuesthoff Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Virginia Jonas, 3 sons, Edward (Christine) Jonas of Tallahassee, Mark (Renee) Jonas of Rockledge, Greg (Lisa) Jonas of Winter Springs and his sister Lois Dolman of Streetsboro, Ohio. He was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was considered the heart of his family and will be dearly missed by all. Don was born June 21st, 1925 in Somerton, Ohio to Wilbur Franklin Jonas and Lula Blanche Broomhall. He served in the US Army Air Force for 2 years during World War II and 1 year in the National Guard. He worked for the US Postal Service for 30 years delivering mail to the Pt. St John area of Brevard County. He was an active and longtime member of the Rockledge Church of the Nazarene where he was very much loved and respected for his warmth, consideration and supportive nature. A celebration of his life and viewing for family and friends will be at the Rockledge Nazarene Church, 651 Barnes Blvd. Rockledge, FL 32955 on Friday, April 1st from 5 to 8pm. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday April 2nd at 11 am at the church. There will be no graveside service. Flowers or donations can be sent to the Rockledge Church of the Nazarene.
