Donald "Don" Knight
September 8th, 1938 - November 4th, 2021
Donald Appleton Knight, 83, of Hilton Head Island and formerly of Raleigh, NC died on November4, 2021. Don was born September 8, 1938 to Donald Johnston Knight and Lillian Stemshorn Knight. In addition to being the husband of Susan Crawford Knight for 58 years, he was father to Jeffrey and Stephen, father-in-law to Beth Witherspoon Knight, Papa to Laura and Caro Knight and brother to Peggy Gray. Don was also a friend, cousin, nephew, Naval Officer, brother-in-law, uncle, wood worker, neighbor, dog walker, world traveler, gardener, volunteer, Vice President at Burroughs Wellcome Pharmaceuticals and so much more.
