Obituary On Sunday, January 6, 2019, Donald “Don” Mario Matle, loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend passed away at home at age 79. Don was born on March 4,1939 in Napa, CA to Mario and Pierina Matle. He attended Vallejo High School where he played football and baseball and graduated in 1958. He went on to play football for San Francisco State. In 1960 he married his sweetheart, Jeanne. Don retired from United Parcel Service where he worked for 35 years. He was an avid golfer and loved spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Jeanne, children Jacalyn (Russell) Sweeney, Richard, Nancy (David) Stump and grandchildren Hillary Sweeney, Taylor, Haylie, and Mario Stump. He is also survived by his sister, Sandra Williams and numerous nieces and nephews. Services are private.
