Donald E Miles

Donald Miles was born July 14, 1934 to the late Christie and Adele Miles of Greenwich, Connecticut. He joined them peacefully, with his beloved wife, Denise Miles, by his side on August 10, 2024.

Donald’s early life was spent in the Greenwich, CT. area enjoying life with his seven siblings. Being a large close knit family, they not only spent weekends at family gatherings together, but they also worked in family owned businesses, from snow plowing, towing cars, landscaping, to the amusement business.

He later moved to Florida, where he continued the tradition of family businesses, to include a restaurant and then an antique and furniture store. After retirement his love of cooking and people led him to volunteering where he enjoyed playing Santa Claus and putting smiles on the faces of countless children. Many holidays he would spend his time cooking meals at the church and after moving into Westminster, he then cooked holiday dinners for residents there, before enjoying his own holiday meals with family. He also enjoyed his time running a nonprofit thrift store for Westminster residents, but it never took away from his love of watching NASCAR, enjoying the casino slots, or being an avid bingo player.

Donald had eight children. He was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Kenneth Miles and Chad Everett Miles and two grandchildren, Kristen Marie Fagno and Mark Curtis Miles Jr. He left behind his loving wife, Denise, daughters, Robin Elizabeth Parelli (Frank), Carolyn Stacey Tarantino, Elizabeth Ann Colosi (Allen), his sons, Donald Everett Miles Jr (Mindy), Mark Curtis Miles, and Wayne Richard Colosi. He will be greatly missed by his 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and the little one on the way, his only remaining sibling, Dinah White, and so many cousins, nieces and nephews to count. He was loved by all who knew him.

A service will be held at Christ Central Church 2010 N. Cocoa Blvd., Cocoa, FL 32922 on August 24, 2024 at 1 PM.
