Donald "Troy" Morgenstern, 51 of Windsor, CO passed away unexpectedly on December 23, 2022. Troy was born April 24, 1971 in Fort Collins, CO to Don Morgenstern and Sandy Morgenstern of Loveland, CO. Troy attended Big Thompson Elementary, Walt Clark Middle School and graduated from Thompson Valley High School in 1990. After High School, he attended one year at Colorado State University, 1994 received an Associate Degree from Aims Community College in Libral Arts, and 1997 from University of Northern Colorado Bachelors of Science with and emphasis in Secondary Education. Troy married Alyson Carter June 18, 2005 in Las Vegas, NV. They later divorced. He started his career at Thompson Valley EMS Academy as a EMS instructor and EMS Event Coordinator. For one year he was a dispatcher for the Loveland Police Department. In 1996 he started at McKee Medical Center as a Wellness Specialist, then a Emergency Room Technician and a Philebotomist. In 2003 he was a BLS/CPR/First Aid instructor for Aims Community College. For the past 25 years he was a Polysomnographer Technician for Northern Colorado Pulmonary Consultants and McKee Medical Center. He started his own business TM Customized Emergency Training for businesses, nursing homes, dentist employees, Thompson R2J school district and individual clients. Woodworking was a hobby and he made a lot of furniture in his home but, fishing was his favorite pass time and spent many days at Lon Hagler. He also enjoyed camping, riding his dirt bike, garage parties with the neighbors, time with friends, and family BBQ's in his backyard. His biggest project was rebuilding a customized 1969 Camaro SS. Troy was preceded in death by his grandparents; W.C. Morgenstern, Marvin "Doug" Winslow, Doris "Jeanne" Winslow and his brother Gregory Morgenstern. He is survived by his brother Russ (Susan) and nephew Trevor Morgenstern of Loveland. Uncle Ron (Janelda) Morgenstern of Parker, Aunt Terry Hirsch of Loveland and several cousins. Cremation has been conducted. A Celebration of Life will be held at Mountain View Presbyterian church 2500 N. Garfield Ave, Loveland, CO on Saturday, April 29th at 11:00 am. A reception will follow at the church.
