Donald L. Peck
December 5th, 1930 - July 21st, 2017
Donald L. Peck Northern Michigan, the year 1930 Don Peck was born. Don was the only child of Clarence and Ila Peck. He enjoyed an idealistic childhood on the banks of the AuSable River. Hunting, fishing, and trapping were the mainstays of this young man's Tom Sawyer like lifestyle. Don also served his country and state for 8 years in the Michigan Army National Guard. After a fulfilling and rewarding career at Consumers Power of Michigan, starting as a custodian and ending up as the Safety Training Manager, he retired in 1987. He and his wife, Anne were ready for retirement. After moving to Florida, they traveled the world together, hand in hand, enjoying the sites they had dreamed of seeing together. After moving to Oyster Creek Golf Club, fellowship and friendship were everyday occurrences. Donald and his family truly appreciated the friends he made at Oyster Creek and the YMCA. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His loving and caring wife Anne, his children, son Michael and daughters Lacy, Tracy, and Beth. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Don and his family greatly appreciate the care that Hospice gave during his illness as well as the friendships of Mack Mileski and Larry Devine. They had many hours of conversation, brandy, cigars, and companionship that he so enjoyed. Those were some of his happiest days. Loved and missed but never forgotten. In lieu of flowers, please invite a friend to lunch, lift a glass, and toast to Don. Happy Trails, Don, Happy Trails. Services will be private at a later date.
