Donald "Dew" Rockwell Jr.
February 21st, 1955 - January 28th, 2019
Donald Rockwell Jr. “Dew”, 63, of Syracuse, New York passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019. He was a very loving oldest brother and son and an amazing father. Donald was an Army veteran serving in Korea and a member of Local 60 Iron Workers Union. He was a Mohawk of the Wolf Clan from the Onondaga Nation. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Dew had an amazing sense of humor, was funny and always gave everyone a good laugh. Dew was loved and respected by those who knew him. He was predeceased by his father, Donald Rockwell Sr. and his brother, Vincent Rockwell. Donald is survived by his mother, Sarah M. Rockwell; aunt, Winifred (Joe) Cerra; son, Donald H. (Rita) Rockwell III, sisters, Valerie L. Cook, Sarah Munnell, Donna (Nelson) Rockwell-Jock and Summer (Mike) Rodgers; brothers, Peter (Kelly) Rockwell, Abner (Nancy) Rockwell, Jerome (Kay) Rockwell, Matthew (Diane) Rockwell and David (Roberta) Rockwell; granddaughter, Adrian Rockwell; grandson, Donald H. Rockwell IV; daughter, Naomi Rockwell; stepsons, Joe (Melissa) Diabo and Norman (Amber) Diabo; stepdaughter, Cecelia Leigh Diabo and companion, Cecelia Mae Diabo. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York 13205 with a memorial service at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Following the service, family and friends are invited for food and refreshments at the Onondaga Nation Fire Barn.
