Donald Robert Ruby

Donald Ruby 79, of Greeley, CO died Wednesday, September 28, 2016.in the comfort of his home with his children at his bedside. He was born April 17, 1937in Crookston Minnesota. He moved to Greeley with his family 1978. On January 1, 1958, Don married Irene Fleming and was married for 46 years. They had two daughters, Terri and Trena and twin boys Donald and Robert. In 1963, they moved from Council Bluffs IA to San Jose, CA where Don established his own trucking business and they lived there for 15 years. In 1978 he moved his family back to Greeley. When Don arrived in Colorado he worked delivering concrete. He retired from LaFarge after 20 years of service in 1998. Don was an outdoorsman; he was blessed to have the opportunity to hunt and fish all over the United States, including Alaska. But overall Don was most proud of his family. He loved to spend time during the summers BBQing and playing horseshoes with his family and friends at his home in Greeley. He will be truly missed by all that knew him. Don is survived by his children: Terri (Jess) Redmon, Trena (Clarence) Pinkstaff, Donald R. (Keri) Ruby, Robert D. (Carla) Ruby, ten Grandchildren, twelve Great Grandchildren and his siblings: Darlene Brady, Richard Ruby, Wayne Ruby, Diane Gibbons He is proceeded in death by: his parents Walter and Alta Ruby and his brother Floyd Ruby. Memorial Service 10:00 a, m, Wednesday October 5, 2016 at Adamson Funeral & Cremation, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO. Interment will be 11:00a.m. Tuesday October 11, 2016 at Grange Cemetery in Crescent, IA
