Donald A. Slater, Sr.
September 24th, 1939 - October 8th, 2019
Mr. Donald A. Slater, Sr. of Currytown Road, Sprakers died peacefully on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Middleburgh, NY he was the son of the late Howard and Jennie Slater. A lifelong area resident, Don was employed with the Laborer’s Local #157 in Schenectady. He served proudly in the United States Army from 1956- 1959 until he was honorable discharged. Don was a member of the VFW and was an avid Yankee’s fan and hunter. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was predeceased by his wife Maryann; and many siblings. Survivors include his children, Lisa A. Mundell and her husband Eric and Donald Slater Jr. and his wife Gina; one brother Roger Slater and his wife Virginia; several grandchildren, five great grandchildren; his daughter-in-law, Brenda Rava (Shawn Bowerman); nieces and nephews. At Don’s request there are no services.
