Donall Irving Bunch September 21, 1932 November 24, 2016 Donall was born in San Francisco, CA. and spent most of his life in the Bay Area spending his early years in Santa Cruz, CA. He graduated from Commerce High School in 1950 and attended San Francisco State University. He was a member of the U. S. Army and served in the Korean War from January 23, 1953 to December 23, 1954. He achieved the rank of Sargeant. After serving in the military, he held various positions with maritime companies before joining American President Lines, where he held the Director of Claims position for 37 years. He retired in 1991. He was an avid reader, reading almost a book a day, a worldwide traveler both on business and personal (cruising was his favorite), loved vegetable gardening and being with family and friends. He was a very loving and wonderful man. He is predeceased by his parents, Ann Forgie and Ray Samuel Bunch and by his brothers George and Douglas. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Helene Trammell Bunch, his children Donall Matthew (Micki), Margaret Bunch Smith (Richard), Dr. Raymond Bunch (Colleen), James Bunch, and Kathleen Bunch Martinez (Joey) and by his stepson Edward Fuchs (Bridget). He was extremely proud of his grandchildren, Brian and Carter Smith, Maggie and Sammy Bunch, Sydney Rae, Anthony Joseph and Olivia Martinez and by his stepgrandson Johan Fuchs. Private services will be held at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, CA with full military honors. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, January 13, 2017 from 1:30PM 4:30PM at the Pleasant Hill Community Center, 320 Civic Drive, Pleasant Hill, CA.
