Donna M. Dettling

Donna M. Dettling, passed away November 11, 2014, in Olympia, Washington, at age 55. She was born September 26, 1959, to Thomas and Tresa (Duran) Myers in Bellingham, Washington. She graduated from Capitol High School in 1977. Donna married Dale Stewart on January 16, 1978, and Hans Dettling on December 4, 1989. She considered herself a lifelong resident of Olympia, although she spent 1990-1991 in Bensberg, Germany. Professionally, Donna worked for the U.S. Forestry Service, Washington State Healthcare Authority, and Washington State Department of Licensing. She loved drawing, singing, listening to music, collecting pretty girly things (including bling and accessories), watching movies and old television shows, and viewing online design and fashion websites. Donna loved children immensely. She was a kind, warm, mother figure to all the children in the family. She was funny with a morbid sense of humor, and could occasionally be irritably stubborn. She also tended to be a homebody. She is survived by her parents; sons, Levi of Seattle, and Patrick, Andreas, and Sebastian of Olympia; sisters, Juanita and Carol of Olympia, and Tina of Loveland, Colorado.
