Donna Rae Krokenes
August 8th, 2017 - July 17th, 2017
Donna Rae Krokenes Born August 12, 1941 Became an Angel on July 17, 201 After a long fought battle with several illnesses, Donna was called home to be reunited with her family. Parents Donald and Lucille McLellan, Brother Mike (Mick) McLellan and her loving and devoted husband of 50 years Raymond V. Krokenes. Born in Omak, WA, her family moved to Burien in the 1940’s where she grew up and attended school. In 1961 she met the love of her life, Ray and they were married in 1962. They moved to Tacoma where they raised their two children Mark and Keri and where she resided until her passing. She retired from Buffelen Woodworking in 2004 after working as a planer for over 30 years. Donna was loved by all who met her. Weather you were a friend of her children or grandchildren, she was always mom, grandma or Aunt Donna. She will be deeply missed by lifelong friends Janie & Gary Russell and Beverly & Harlan Treadway. She leaves behind her son Mark Krokenes (Dana) of Graham, daughter Keri Krokenes of Tacoma, Grandchildren Brittni Krokenes of Urbana, IL, Austin Williams of Rochester, NY and several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Internment of Donna and Ray as well as celebration of life will be held in December. A special thank you to Tacoma General Hospital and Tacoma Lutheran Home doctors and nursing staff for the wonderful care they provided mom these last 18 months
