Online Obituaries for Frankfort, KY FRANKFORT- Donna J. Sams Smith, 62, wife of Claude Smith, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014. A native of Frankfort, Mrs. Smith was born on July 24, 1952 to the late Bobby G. Sams and Kathleen Stigers Conway. She retired from the Department of Education with the State of Kentucky and was a member at the Memorial Baptist Church. In addition to her husband of 42 years, she is survived by her daughter, Amy Kathleen Smith and her son, Claude Lindsey Smith, II, both of Frankfort; her sisters, Linda Taulbee, Tammie L. Sams, Jody L. Sutherland and Janet Stevens, all of Frankfort; her brothers, Scotty Sams, Stephen Sams, Jay Sams, Bruce A. Sams, Mark A. Conway and Ed Conway, all of Frankfort and Garland Sams, VA; her grandchildren, Brandon West, Trey Claude Lindsey Smith, III, Trendon Sewell, Eli Tabor and Bristal Purvis; and her great grandson, Treyson Levi Smith. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Linda Bibble and Bobby Burke. Funeral Information Funeral Service will be 1:00PM Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd with Rev. Tim Jumpp officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will be Bobby G. Burke, Bobby G. Burke, II, Gary Taulbee, Brandon West, Trey Smith, Trendon Sewell and Hunter House. Honorary casketbearers will be Linda Bibble, Kermit Smith, Joe Penn, Bobby Doss and Barry McDonald. Visitation will be Monday, December 1, 2014 from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
