Donna Mathews Sweat, 61, of Summerville, wife of RichardMarvin Sweat, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at her residence. Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Thursday, June 13, 2019, from 2pm until 3:30pm with the funeral following immediately afterwards, all at Boone Hill United Methodist Church, Summerville, SC. Donna was born on September 4, 1957 in Columbus, OH, daughter of the late Jessie Mathews and Theresa Mathews of Summerville. She was a graduate of Summerville High School and then went on to receive her LPN from Trident Technical College. Donna was Nurse of the year in 2004 at Summerville Medical Center. She enjoyed her mountain house, camping, loved helping others but most of all loved her grandchildren. Survived by her husband Richard (Ricky) of 46 years; a son, Christopher M. Sweat (Tootie) of Harleyville; a daughter, Chelsea S. Trudeau (Adam) of Holly Hill; a son-in-law, Eric Vest of Summerville; four grandchildren, Conner Vest, Bailey Vest, Christopher Sweat, and Logan Trudeau; four siblings, Jessie Mathews of Rock Hill, Richard Mathews (Brenda) of St. George, Jennifer Dube’ and Michael Mathews both of Summerville; a brother-in-law, Steve Sweat (Wanda) of Round O. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by a daughter, Donica Sweat Vest; a sister Patricia Mathews Bragg; father-in-law, Marvin Sweat and mother-in-law, Barbara Sweat.
