Donna J. Vammen

Donna J. Vammen, age 75, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at a local hospital following a long illness. She was a military wife, a home health care worker, and a longtime member of Bethel Lutheran Church.Donna Fox was born on February 16, 1942 in Indiana to the late Charles Edward and Merry Elizabeth (Ream) Fox. She was a 1960 graduate of Glenn County High School in Willows, California. She met and soon married Paul Vammen.The Vammens were ranchers in Wyoming and moved to Colorado Springs after Paul was diagnosed with MS. She worked at the Falcon Fire Department and worked with seniors in their homes.Donna enjoyed needlework, making clothes, arts and crafts, caring for the many cats that visited her small ranch, and her dog, "Sage."She is survived by her brother, Stephen Fox of Anchorage, Alaska; her niece, Samantha Reynolds; her nephew, Darrell Fox; and a host of friends.Memorial Service, 4:00PM, Sunday, January 7, 2018, Bethel Lutheran Church, 4925 Farmingdale Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80918.Memorials in her name may be made to the Church.
