Donna Wheeler Donna M. Wheeler passed away June 24, 2017 at the age of 87 due to age related causes. She was born October 26, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Carl and Hazel (Morrison) Smith. While studying at the University of Oregon, she met Walter Wheeler and they married in 1950 in Springfield, Oregon. After receiving a Master’s Degree, she was a 3rd grade Teacher at Maple Elementary School for 28 years. She enjoyed birding, gardening, boating, watching her family water ski and spending time with her grandkids. Survivors include son Dan Wheeler of Eugene, Oregon, daughter Nancy Markwell of Portland, Oregon, brother Ellis Smith of Springfield, Oregon, 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and son David Wheeler. A visitation will be Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 11:00am- 1:00pm at the Riviera Baptist Church with a Funeral Service following at 1:00pm. The burial will follow the service at Sunset Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Eugene Mission. Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary.
